The employee was placed on modified assignment during the investigation and is now on administrative leave.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">OPD said the case has been turned over to the Alameda County District Attorney&#8217;s Office for possible criminal charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The department said it is also working with the City of Oakland to improve time-tracking technology and reduce the risk of similar misconduct in the future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Because the case involves an ongoing personnel matter, police said no additional details are being released at this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
