MONTCLAIR, CALIF. \u2014 A truck carrying an estimated 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was stolen in Montclair in what may be the biggest beer heist ever.<\/p>\n
The stolen truck was loaded with what is equivalent to more than 50,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon.<\/p>\n
Pabst has publicly addressed the theft through social media, expressing frustration while urging the person responsible to return the vehicle and its cargo.<\/p>\n
In an Instagram post, the company wrote: \u201cSTOLEN – 40,000lbs of beer.\u201d<\/p>\n
The post continued: \u201cTo the thief: we don\u2019t fault you for wanting to brag to your friends how much PBR you have, we just wish you obtained it the honorable way.\u201d<\/p>\n
The company gave the thief an ultimatum.<\/p>\n
\u201cPabst is officially starting the clock now – you have exactly 18 days and 44 minutes to return our truck, no questions asked. Leading up to that time, we will be offering a reward to anyone who can help us solve this mystery.\u201d The post ends with: \u201cP.S. this is real and we are deadly serious.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pabst later posted an update on Instagram confirming the search continues.<\/p>\n
\u201cBeer is getting warmer, trail is getting colder. Clock\u2019s still ticking,\u201d the company wrote, urging people to snap a photo and tag them if they see the truck.<\/p>\n
Pabst also asks anyone with information on the truck to message them.<\/p>\n
In a statement a Pabst spokesperson said the company is \u201cworking with the local authorities to try and recover the stolen truck and are grateful for all their hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope that whoever managed to steal our truck also knows the importance of keeping beer cold.\u201d<\/p>\n
