(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community\u2019s help in identifying a man accused of crawling under a car, puncturing the gas tank, and stealing gas.<\/p>\n<p>Police said on Friday, August 28th, 2026, at around 10:15 p.m., the suspect was caught on video surveillance crawling under the victim\u2019s vehicle and puncturing the gas tank in order to steal gas.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the victim\u2019s vehicle was parked in the Home Depot parking lot on Gosford Road.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as a man in his 30&#8217;s and with a slim build.
