A 60-year-old San Diego County man accused of threatening harm to staff at a Temecula school and possessing high-capacity firearms is expected to be arraigned Thursday on felony and misdemeanor charges.<\/p>\n
Louis George White Jr. of Warner Springs was arrested Saturday following an investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n
White is charged with publishing threats against an educational institution, four counts of illegal possession of assault weapons and one count of deprivation of civil rights.<\/p>\n
He made his initial court appearance Wednesday before Superior Court Judge Theresa Canepa, who appointed him a public defender and scheduled his arraignment for Thursday at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta.<\/p>\n
White was being held in lieu of $70,000 bail at the nearby Byrd Detention Center.<\/p>\n
Patrol deputies were dispatched around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 31000 block of Nicolas Road, near Joseph Road, regarding a report of deadly threats, according to sheriff\u2019s Sgt. Ray Ricken.<\/p>\n
Specific details were not disclosed, including the name of the educational facility and a possible motive.<\/p>\n
Ricken said the investigation ultimately identified White as the alleged perpetrator, culminating in a search warrant being served at his residence in the 35000 block of Peralta Drive, near Highway 78.<\/p>\n
The sergeant said items of \u201cevidentiary value\u201d were seized, including multiple guns. The defendant was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
