Two years after completing the 315-unit apartment complex Zia in Anaheim<\/a>, MBK Rental Living sold the property on Aug. 26.<\/p>\n

The price was $147.5 million, according to TheRegistery.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The buyer was an institutional investor that MBK declined to identify. As of Friday, Sept. 4, no property documents were available to confirm the buyer or secure a price.<\/p>\n

MBK, in a joint venture with Haseko Corp., completed the five-story, wrap-style complex in 2024 on a 5.2-acre former auto dealership lot at 1600 W. Lincoln Ave. Zia features studios and one-, two-, or three-bedroom apartments with 600 to 1,900 square feet.<\/p>\n

Amenities include a 4,000-square-foot 24-hour fitness center; pool with grill, bar area, spa, and cabanas; entertainment and courtyards; game lounge with racing car simulator; co-working office space with conference rooms; a dog spa and park.<\/p>\n

Rent ranges from $2,537 to $4,907 per month, according to Apartments.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zia was designed by AO Architects, with landscape by Sitescapes and interior design by Design-Art.\u00a0Cushman & Wakefield\u2019s Capital Markets Group arranged the transaction on behalf of MBK.<\/p>\n

\nSpyGlass shifts to Irvine headquarters<\/p>\n

SpyGlass Pharma<\/a>, a biopharmaceutical clinical-stage eyecare company, celebrated the grand opening of its 33,000-square-foot headquarters Aug. 27 in Irvine.<\/p>\n

The building at 15326 Alton Parkway is just steps from the City of Hope complex<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company, which opened its first lab in Irvine in 2021 before expanding to a bigger facility in Aliso Viejo, has returned to its founding city after advancing a lead product candidate from the research and development stage to Phase 3 clinical trials.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a special moment for SpyGlass,\u201d Patrick Mooney, chief executive of SpyGlass Pharma, said in a statement. \u201cOur roots have always been in Orange County, and now we\u2019re thrilled to move our headquarters to Irvine for this significant growth phase of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mooney is the former chief of Novartis AG\u2019s ophthalmic division.<\/p>\n

The company, which focuses on treatments for patients with chronic eye conditions such as glaucoma, said it outgrew its former facility following its initial public offering in February 2026. Its shares jumped 65% in its debut after it raised $150 million in the IPO, according to Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n4-unit apartment building in Dana Point fetches $2.2M<\/p>\n

A four-unit apartment building in Dana Point sold recently for $2.2 million, according to Morgan Skenderian Investment Real Estate Group.<\/p>\n

The complex at 33372 Cheltam Way was built in 1977 and features two-bedroom units. Each unit averages more than 1,000 square feet, the brokerage said.<\/p>\n

Amenities include washer\/dryer hookups, patios\/balconies, ceiling fans and four garages.<\/p>\n
