(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The City of Bakersfield is reminding residents that as part of the pavement rehabilitation project on Truxtun Avenue, the on-ramp to the westbound Westside Parkway will be temporarily closed starting Monday, September 7.<\/p>\n<p>The closure is expected to last through Monday, September 14.<\/p>\n<p>City officials said crews will construct new concrete barriers and install new guardrail to improve safety for the traveling public.<\/p>\n<p>During the closure, drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
