The latest\u00a0initiative in Del Taco\u2019s improvement plan, introduced in March\u00a0as\u00a0Project Sunrise, is\u00a0a revamp of its catering program\u00a0to be\u00a0a\u00a0new growth avenue\u00a0for the company.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Lake Forest-based chain will no longer use a third-party platform for its online\u00a0catering orders, which can now be placed directly through\u00a0the website\u00a0with an expanded menu.\u00a0Del Taco\u00a0said it\u00a0has\u00a0also developed new back-of-house\u00a0tools for\u00a0restaurant employees to use in managing and deploying orders.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new ordering system aims to give Del Taco and its\u00a0restaurants\u00a0\u201cgreater ownership\u201d and control of the catering business, according to the company.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
