Sac State says suspect detained after shots fired on campus during home football game<\/p>\n

Sacramento State University said a suspect has been detained after shots were fired on campus on Saturday evening. There were no injuries. <\/p>\n

University police received a report of shots being fired in Parking Structure III at 7:15 p.m., a campus spokesperson said. <\/p>\n

The university said there is no ongoing threat.<\/p>\n

A message posted on the university’s website and sent out to students earlier read:
“Dangerous situation! Shots fired. Police responding. Avoid Parking Structure 3. Stadium shelter in place until all clear is given.” <\/p>\n

The message was also posted on the Sacramento State Police Department’s social media accounts. <\/p>\n

According to a KCRA 3 reporter at the game and university officials, the game was not stopped after the message was sent out. <\/p>\n

Parking Structure III is the nearest parking structure to Hornet Stadium. <\/p>\n
