PG&E, Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric wanted to shift some of those wildfire costs onto insurance companies. This week, the California Assembly decided to scrap a plan that lawmakers put together in the final hours of the legislative session. <\/p>\n

California leaders are back to the drawing board to answer this question: Who and how much should California\u2019s investor-owned utility companies pay when they cause a catastrophic wildfire? <\/p>\n
