Fourteen people were hospitalized during a concert by The Chainsmokers in Northern California on Friday night, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n

The San Jose Fire Department said crews responded to an outdoor concert at Discovery Meadow around 8:22 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple patients requiring medical attention. Rolling Stone<\/a> and TMZ<\/a> identified the event as a concert by The Chainsmokers.<\/p>\n

Fire officials immediately requested an Ambulance Task Force, two additional advanced life support fire units and a battalion chief to provide additional medical resources.<\/p>\n

A total of 14 ambulances responded, and 14 patients were transported to local hospitals, according to SJFD.<\/p>\n

The fire department did not disclose what prompted the medical emergencies. San Jose police told local outlets that several people were being treated for suspected alcohol intoxication and drug-related issues, according to Rolling Stone.<\/p>\n

The conditions of those hospitalized were not released.<\/p>\n

San Jose police assisted with traffic control, and all fire department resources returned to service around 10:34 p.m., SJFD said.<\/p>\n

Rolling Stone reported that the concert continued despite the medical emergencies and that The Chainsmokers later shared video from the show on social media.<\/p>\n

The duo had not publicly commented on the hospitalizations as of Sunday, according to Rolling Stone.<\/p>\n
