KEWADIN, Mich. \u2013 In its first invitational of the 2026-27 season, the Oakland University women’s golf team finished eighth at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational at the A-Ga-Ming Resort’s Sundance Course.<\/p>\n
The Golden Grizzlies concluded the 54-hole event on the par-72, 6,000-yard course with a team score of 902 (+38), highlighted by a third-round score of three-over 293, which tied for the second-best score for the final day. With a competitive field and only four strokes separating Oakland from five of the seven teams ahead, the team stayed in contention through the end.<\/p>\n
Freshman Hunter Edwards<\/a> led the team for all three rounds, placing 10th with a score of three-over 219. She ranked second in par-5 average at 4.75 and fourth in birdies made with 11. In the final round, Edwards carded five birdies and posted the first under-par round of her career with a 71 (-1).<\/p>\n Tying for 19th place were senior Lily Bargamian<\/a> and freshman Avery Manning<\/a>, both finishing with a 224 (+8). Bargamian matched Edwards with a 4.75 par-5 average, while Manning ranked in the top five for par-4 average at 4.03.<\/p>\n Sophomores Logan Bentley<\/a> and Channing Hagen<\/a> rounded out Oakland’s scoring with totals of 236 (+20) and 238 (+22), respectively.
