A suspect was in custody after allegedly firing a gun while aboard a Metro A (Blue) Line train in Long Beach on Monday morning, Sept. 7, leading to a service disruption as police investigated, authorities said.<\/p>\n
No one was hit by the gunfire.<\/p>\n
But Metro A Line service was temporarily stopped from Willow Street to Anaheim Street, according to LA Metro.<\/p>\n
The shooting occurred just after 9:50 a.m. in the area of Long Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach police spokeswoman Andrea Moran said.<\/p>\n
Officers arrived and found both the suspect and a firearm, Moran said.<\/p>\n
Trains at Willow were turned back toward Pomona, LA Metro said, while trains at Anaheim Street were turned back to downtown Long Beach.<\/p>\n
