Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The company said the layoffs stem from insurance provider Health Net\u2019s plan to eliminate Personal Care and Homemaker Services (PCHS) on Jan. 1, 2027. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are disappointed by Health Net\u2019s decision and recognize the uncertainty it creates for affected members, caregivers and their families,\u201d 24 Hour Home Care <a href=\"https:\/\/homehealthcarenews.com\/2026\/09\/24-hour-home-care-to-lay-off-over-700-employees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">told Home Health Care News.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The move comes as several other healthcare companies in the Golden State have announced job cuts. <\/p>\n<p>Stanford Health Care filed notices in late August to lay off 95 people, primarily affecting non-clinical information technology and digital health roles.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"   data-modal-image=\"40704972\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/part-female-home-caregiver-supporting-140053144.jpg\" alt=\"A caregiver in blue scrubs holding the hands of a senior woman in a beige cardigan and jeans.\" class=\"wp-image-40704972\"\/>The healthcare company employs roughly 30,000 caregivers across California.
