(FOX26) \u2014 In this episode of 26 Miles, FOX26 Host Kevin Miller visited Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno, listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and a California Historical Landmark.<\/p>\n<p>Forestiere Underground Gardens, located on Shaw Avenue near Highway 99, was built by Baldassare Forestiere in the early 1900&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>The entire hand-built network of underground rooms, courtyards, and passageways was dug out of unforgiving hardpan over about 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>The gardens are open for guided tours Thursday through Monday and closed Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/undergroundgardens.com\/garden-tours-in-fresno-ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Click here to sign up.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
