Fresno County screenshot image<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tpublished on September 8, 2026 &#8211; 6:25 PM<br \/>Written by <a href=\"https:\/\/thebusinessjournal.com\/byline\/ben-hensley\/\" rel=\"tag nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ben Hensley<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Fresno County Board of Supervisors recognized five nursing organization leaders Tuesday for their work supporting nurses, expanding community outreach and improving access to care for underserved Central Valley residents.<\/p>\n<p>The recognition, brought forward by Supervisor Garry Bredefeld, honored Ndidi Griffin-Myers, Adriana Nole, Nikky Singh, Julie Thao and Cecilia V. Utleg. Their certificates highlighted contributions ranging from nursing scholarships and professional development to health fairs, food distribution and culturally responsive care.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin-Myers, president of the Central Valley Black Nurses Association, was recognized for her commitment to health equity and her work promoting mentorship, professional development and community engagement. The board credited her with strengthening partnerships and improving access to quality care for underserved populations.<\/p>\n<p>Nole, president of the Central Valley Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, was honored for her leadership in workforce development, mentorship and health policy advocacy.<\/p>\n<p>The board also recognized her work at Valley Children\u2019s Home Care, citing contributions to patient safety and culturally responsive care for families.
