(KGET) \u2014 A man died after an assault in south Bakersfield and his son was arrested in Los Angeles County in connection to the assault.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were dispatched to reports of an unresponsive man on the ground outside a residence in the 6100 block of Chandler Way, around 6:27 p.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kget.com\/news\/local-news\/dui-news\/opening-statements-begin-in-madison-williams-dui-trial\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\tOpening statements begin in Madison Williams DUI trial\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A preliminary investigation showed the man was assaulted, according to police. The police department\u2019s homicide investigators responded to the scene and began the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The man\u2019s adult son, Alfred Juarez, 49, was arrested without incident in Los Angeles County. <\/p>\n<p>Juarez was arrested on suspicion of murder, elder abuse, robbery and other related charges.
