BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Bakersfield police arrested seven people and cited seven others last Wednesday during a quality-of-life operation in downtown Bakersfield following complaints.<\/p>\n

On Sept. 2, 2026, officers with the Bakersfield Police Department\u2019s Impact Team led the operation, focusing on people accused of illegally camping or trespassing on property.<\/p>\n

Police targeted several areas, including near Garces Circle, the 1700 block of Golden State Avenue and the railroad underpass in the 3000 block of Chester Avenue.<\/p>\n

The seven people who were arrested were booked into the Lerdo detention facility. Seven others were issued citations on a range of allegations, including possession of unlawful paraphernalia, possession with two prior convictions after 5.5 grams of methamphetamine were seized, possession of a concealed dirk\/dagger, refusing to leave private property, and felony and misdemeanor warrants.<\/p>\n
