A group of teenagers have reportedly been harassing homeless people around Sacramento County<\/a>, and the shameful pranks are catching attention \u2014 and disgust \u2014 online.<\/p>\n

Multiple video clips<\/a> show two to three young men, typically dressed in hoodies with their identities mostly concealed, casually approaching their targets before pelting them with objects or kicking them in a disgusting bid for internet \u201cclout,\u201d victims say. <\/p>\n

A viral video shows a pack of teens reportedly roving the Sacramento area terrorizing homeless people for TikTok clout. Tiktok\/@tizzyent<\/p>\n

Then, as if in a surprise attack, they launch water bottles \u2014 in some cases with water spilling out \u2014 at the homeless target. The teens then quickly run away.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put my backpack on, I turned around, and one of the guys came up and kicked me,\u201d Chip Stockton told CBS News<\/a><\/p>\n

Stockton said the same group of children also targeted him outside a Safeway store. He said he was playing his radio when the teens allegedly began to kick him.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear if all the teens\u2019 targets were homeless or if they were specifically attacking people who appeared homeless. The victims of the pranks were often simply sitting outside, or waiting at a bus stop or a car.<\/p>\n

One of the most criticized clips shows a man near a van as the group approaches while holding out a container of water. He appears to reach toward it, seemingly expecting to receive the water, before they throw it on him and flee.<\/p>\n

Chip Stockton told CBS he recognized the pranksters.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey physically assaulted me, and that\u2019s assault and battery is what they did to me,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Angel Melendez, a worker near the Safeway, told CBS that the group of pranksters have become a growing nuisance for businesses in the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey want clout,\u201d Melendez said. \u201cThey want to blow up. But obviously they could have done that by doing the opposite of this, by helping the homeless instead of harming them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office is aware of the videos but said they have not gotten any reports filed by any victims.<\/p>\n

While the videos have gone viral, many on social media reacted negatively to the pranks.<\/p>\n

Disturbing viral video shows the teens chucking water and bottles at unsuspecting people while filming the encounters for social media. Tiktok\/@tizzyent<\/p>\n

\u201cImagine being hungry, thirsty, homeless & someone comes offering you water just for them too throw it at you\u2026 his heart got 3 times smaller that day,\u201d one user commented on one of the clips.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose kids need to be shown how to respect their elders for real,\u201d another user said. \u201cThis makes me so angry.\u201d<\/p>\n

One commenter had warned the account, \u201cKarma will get you all,\u201d but it seems the teens had no remorse. The account reportedly responded<\/a> back, \u201cAre you next?\u201d<\/p>\n
