Polling has long been a way to get a picture of how candidates and campaigns are faring during election season, but new platforms are gaining traction and attracting controversy. Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi have been increasingly used to wager money on election outcomes and odds, but it is raising concerns from experts about whether the use of these platforms constitutes gambling, and whether wagers are representative of voter behavior and could influence elections. More than a third are women, many with children. A local nonprofit was created specifically to meet the unique needs of this group. Women\u2019s Empowerment<\/a> helps unhoused women gain the skills and confidence necessary to secure a job, create a healthy lifestyle, and regain a safe home for themselves and their children. And they are celebrating 25 years, having graduated thousands of women and children in that time.
