{"id":458775,"date":"2026-09-10T00:36:08","date_gmt":"2026-09-10T00:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/458775\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T00:36:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T00:36:08","slug":"brush-fire-off-405-threatens-homes-and-getty-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/458775\/","title":{"rendered":"Brush fire off 405 threatens homes and Getty Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A brush fire erupted Wednesday afternoon along the 405 Freeway, threatening homes and the Getty Center, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. <\/p>\n<p>The brush fire, which had burned five acres, was reported around 4:30 p.m. and appeared to have ignited near the Getty Center parking lot at 1200 Getty Center Drive, according to the Fire Department. <\/p>\n<p>Aerial footage of the fire shows flames burning along a hillside and in the direction of Mount Saint Mary\u2019s University and homes near the campus. Firefighters were fighting the fire on the ground and by air. <\/p>\n<p>The Fire Department has issued an evacuation warning, <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/protect.genasys.com\/en?lat=34.0815&amp;lng=-118.4799&amp;z=15.5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">roughly bounded by<\/a> Promontory Road to the north, Sunset Boulevard to the south, the 405 to the east and Bundy Drive to the west.
