A 43-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 14 years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls he was related to in Anaheim.<\/p>\n
On the eve of his trial starting, Didier Visosmunoz pleaded guilty Tuesday to continuous sexual abuse of a child and a count of lewd or lascivious act with a minor younger than 14, both felonies. Eight other sexual assault felony charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal.<\/p>\n
The victims came forward two years ago when they were 16 and 19.<\/p>\n
One of the girls said Visosmunoz started sexually assaulting her when she was 7 years old, police said in the defendant\u2019s preliminary hearing. He told her not to tell anyone or the both of them would get in trouble, police said.<\/p>\n
The girl said she was sexually assaulted three times a week when her mother worked an overnight shift at a hospital, police said. The assaults continued until she was in high school, police said.<\/p>\n
The other victim said she was first assaulted when she was 8 or 9 years old and that she was assaulted again when she was 11, police said.<\/p>\n
Visosmunoz has 778 days credit behind bars.
