BERKELEY \u2013 California men’s soccer secured its first home win of the season over Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday, September 9, at Edwards Stadium. The Golden Bears defeated the Titans, 1-0.<\/p>\n
The first half between the Bears and Titans was even, with both teams taking seven shots. Cal held 60% of the possession during the opening 45 minutes, heading into the locker room at halftime with the score tied, 0-0.<\/p>\n
The second half began similarly to the first, with both teams battling for scoring opportunities. Lucca Guimaraes<\/a> broke the tie in the 72nd minute, marking the first goal of his career.
