Barred from selling the scene of the crime, a Bay Area landlord is trying to rent out his own murdered tenant\u2019s home<\/a> for $6,300 a month.<\/p>\n

A 68-year-old landlord named Philippe Chagniot is trying to rent out his home after allegedly killing 58-year-old Eric Bigone \u2013\u2013 his own tenant \u2013\u2013 mid-May in front of the house at 2518 46th Avenue in San Francisco. <\/p>\n

The 1,200-square-foot home comes with three beds, two baths, and features \u201cbeautiful hardwood floors, abundant natural light, and an updated interior,\u201d according to the home\u2019s listing. <\/a>The home was originally listed for $8,000 before being reduced down to $6,300.<\/p>\n

This comes as Chagniot reportedly spray-painted surveillance cameras around the crime scene before starting a fire atop Bigone\u2019s car. The landlord then shot the 58-year-old twice from behind with an automatic Mac-10 firearm as the victim was dealing with the fire. <\/p>\n

Following the incident, the suspect was seen biking away. <\/p>\n

He was charged with murder and was detained without bail, the San Francisco District Attorney\u2019s Office said in May.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a wrongful death lawsuit, the victim\u2019s son \u2013\u2013 Dino Bigone \u2013\u2013 alleged that Chagniot had killed his father\u00a0 to clear out the home for sale. While a judge blocked the Chagniot family from selling the home, the family was permitted to rent it out. <\/p>\n

The home is currently owned by the Chagniot 2007 Family Trust that includes Chagniot and his wife.<\/p>\n

A 944-square-foot home in San Francisco was valued at $1.3 million. Google Map<\/p>\n

A woman who toured the listing said she saw that the home was owned by a family trust and grew suspicious. She also saw the news stories about the killing on the internet and was disturbed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t looking for if someone was killed in the lease. My money would presumably be benefiting this family,\u201d the prospective tenant told The San Francisco Standard. <\/a><\/p>\n
