ROCHESTER, Mich. \u2014\u00a0Head coach Greg Kampe<\/a> and the Oakland University Men’s Basketball team have announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule, featuring three exhibition contests and a challenging regular-season slate highlighted by matchups\u00a0against several Power Conference opponents.<\/p>\n The Golden Grizzlies begin their 2026-27 slate\u00a0with three exhibition contests, opening against\u00a0Grand Valley State\u00a0on Oct. 15 at the OU Credit Union O’rena. Oakland then heads\u00a0to the D\u00a0for an exhibition meeting\u00a0with\u00a0Tennessee State for Wayne State’s Hoops and Culture Day on Oct. 24,\u00a0before heading down I-75\u00a0to face\u00a0Cincinnati on Oct. 27.<\/p>\n Oakland opens the regular season against the reigning NCAA National Champion\u00a0Michigan\u00a0in Ann Arbor on Nov. 2,\u00a0before traveling west for back-to-back contests in California. The Golden Grizzlies face\u00a0Stanford on Nov. 6, followed by\u00a0UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 7.<\/p>\n The Golden Grizzlies then continue their road swing across the country with a test on Nov. 9\u00a0at\u00a0Alabama\u00a0in Tuscaloosa, followed by a quick trip back west to see\u00a0Boise State on Nov. 11.<\/p>\n Oakland returns home on Saturday,\u00a0Nov. 14, hosting\u00a0Northern Iowa on the Blacktop\u00a0at the OU Credit Union O’rena before heading back on the road for a pair of Power Conference matchups. The Golden Grizzlies travel Nov. 18 to\u00a0Arizona State\u00a0and a rematch in Mackey Arena\u00a0with\u00a0Purdue on Nov. 20.<\/p>\n Oakland closes November with a trip to Texas to face\u00a0Houston in back-to-back seasons on Nov. 27.<\/p>\n The non-conference slate continues into December, with the Golden Grizzlies traveling to\u00a0Arkansas for a midweek game on Tuesday, Dec. 8, followed by a short trip down to\u00a0Toledo on Dec. 16.<\/p>\n The Black and Gold wrap up the non-conference with their annual meeting with Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans, this time in East Lansing, on Dec. 22.<\/p>\n All times, TV\u00a0information, and promotions are subject to change and will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n How to Follow Oakland Men’s Basketball: For complete information on Oakland Men’s Basketball, follow the team on X at @OaklandMBB<\/a> and head coach Greg Kampe<\/a> at @KampeOU<\/a>.
