Sacramento will see another hot day, with highs about 10 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n

Much of Northern California will see another hot day Thursday, with highs about 10 degrees above normal.<\/p>\n

Expect a mild morning with scattered clouds and light winds before clouds thin and onshore flow returns later today. <\/p>\n

Stronger onshore flow will bring cooler weather Friday, with temperatures dipping slightly below normal this weekend. <\/p>\n

Thursday forecast<\/p>\n

Thursday is another KCRA 3 Impact Day because of triple-digit high temperatures in the Valley. <\/p>\n

The morning will be very warm, too, with some Valley spots starting close to 70 degrees when the sun comes up just before 7 a.m.<\/p>\n

Heat alerts<\/p>\n

Heat is widespread across California this week. <\/p>\n

Central Valley temperatures will be around 100 degrees Thursday. <\/p>\n

The thermometer won’t reach that high along the Southern California coast, but tropical humidity will make the air feel much warmer than it actually is.<\/p>\n

Back to ‘comfortable’ next week<\/p>\n

Valley highs will drop into the 80s this weekend and stay there next week. <\/p>\n

Extended temperature outlook<\/p>\n

Northern California will settle back into a stretch of pleasantly warm afternoons and cool mornings next week. Intense heat will once again target the South. <\/p>\n

Foothills & Sierra 7 day forecast<\/p>\n

Temperatures will drop quite a bit Friday and into the weekend. <\/p>\n

It will be breezy in the mountains as cooler air comes in. Expect gusty winds Friday, Saturday and Sunday around Lake Tahoe and other places on the crest and east slope.<\/p>\n

Valley 7 day forecast<\/p>\n
