The Friends of Anaheim Public Library Book Sale is coming on Sept. 18 at the Central Library.<\/p>\n
There will be books for sale, and other items too, such as jewelry, curios, knick-knacks, puzzles and more. Proceeds from the book sale directly support Anaheim Public Library programs and services.<\/p>\n
The sale will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Central Library\u2019s basement, 500 W. Broadway. For more information, call 714-765-1810<\/p>\n
Muzeo explores Disney animation and history in Anaheim<\/p>\n
The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center is presenting a new exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives.<\/p>\n
\u201cCapturing Life, Creating Character,\u201d about the art of live-action reference, will be on display in the Muzeo\u2019s Main Gallery through Nov. 1.<\/p>\n
This is a fascinating look at the pursuit of character animation through a collection of rarely seen photographs of live performers and their animated counterparts.<\/p>\n
Another exhibit, \u201cAnaheimLand,\u201d is showing in the Carnegie South Gallery, also through Nov. 1. \u201d AnaheimLand \u201d draws on the deep, living connection between our city and the Disneyland Resort.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss it.<\/p>\n

Anaheim Fire & Rescue to offer CERT training<\/p>\n
Be prepared and be informed and make a difference.\u00a0 Anaheim Fire & Rescue is offering CERT training, which is free and open to anyone interested in learning about how they can be an effective responder for their family and their community in an emergency.<\/p>\n
Training is provided by the Anaheim Fire & Rescue Department using a nationally recognized 20-hour curriculum approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Participants will learn how to identify and anticipate hazards in the community, reduce fire hazards in the home and workplace, extinguish small fires, and more.<\/p>\n

The next Anaheim High all-class alumni breakfast is Oct. 3.<\/p>\n
Former Colonists will meet at Mr. D\u2019s Diner, 126 E. Yorba Linda Blvd, in Placentia.\u00a0 The gathering features a speaker to enlighten the group, door prizes and more.<\/p>\n

Shop crafters and artists<\/p>\n
The Anaheim Craft & Vintage Fair is coming up on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n
There will be more than 35 unique vendors for shoppers who are looking for a unique experience. These are crafters and artists who make what they sell.<\/p>\n
There will also be great food for sale and a bake sale, too.<\/p>\n
The fair will be hosted at the Annunciation Byzantine Catholic Church, 995 N. West St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.\u00a0 Entrance is free.<\/p>\n
