Fieldwork Brewing Co<\/a>., the Berkeley-based craft brewery that opened<\/a> its first Sonoma County location last year, is tapping into the wine market.<\/p>\n

Known as Fieldwork Cellars, the new wine label seeks to satiate customers who have requested an expanded wine menu.<\/p>\n

Produced with the help of several local wineries, the portfolio includes a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley, a canned sparkling wine and Zinfandel ros\u00e9 from the El Dorado appellation and a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are deals galore in the wine space right now because producers are really hurting,\u201d said Barry Braden, owner and founder of Fieldwork Brewing. \u201cWe were able to secure some great bulk wine from some very, very good vineyards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Braden, who owns a vineyard in the Sierra foothills, supplied the Zinfandel grapes for the ros\u00e9 from his own property. He declined to disclose the source of the other fruit.<\/p>\n

Fieldwork Cellars joins the company\u2019s existing lineup of craft beer, nonalcoholic beers, artisan sodas and canned mocktail Supertonics.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our wines to represent Fieldwork\u2019s high quality. We\u2019re not just phoning them in,\u201d Braden said. \u201cWe want people to know there is something for everyone here. That is our bottom line.\u201d<\/p>\n
