Westbound lanes were closed during the response and investigation.<\/p>\n<p>At around 12:50 p.m., a suspect appeared to be in custody and authorities started to reopen some lanes.<\/p>\n<p>The California Highway Patrol said the incident on I-580 was just east of the Benedict Drive offramp.<\/p>\n<p>No other information was immediately available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lanes on Interstate 580 in San Leandro reopened Thursday afternoon following a police standoff.
