For decades people making the drive along I-80 between Sacramento and Tahoe have stopped at Ikeda\u2019s California Country Market. Starting out as a small fruit stand, the store has grown into a cornucopia of fresh produce, specialty goods, sandwiches, and sweets. With two locations in Auburn and Davis, the three generation family business has become a beloved staple of the local area, famous for their delicious selection of homemade pies. Those pies are now gaining national attention after the shop was declared USA Today\u2019s \u201cBest Pie Shop in America.\u201d Brothers Derek and Brendyn Ikeda join us today to share the family\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s being celebrated this month with a solo exhibition at Twisted Track Gallery in Sacramento.
