No officers were injured.<\/p>\n<p>The incident began about 11:20 p.m. Monday when CHP officers attempted to stop the driver of a Volvo SUV for driving without headlights near Folsom and Sunrise boulevards. The driver did not stop and led officers on a pursuit along Highway 50 and surface streets in the Rancho Cordova and Gold River area.<\/p>\n<p>Sacramento County sheriff\u2019s deputies and Citrus Heights police joined the pursuit. Deputies deployed spike strips, disabling the SUV on the freeway, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said Vanzan pointed a weapon at officers before at least one CHP officer, a sheriff\u2019s deputy and a Citrus Heights officer opened fire.
