Free harbor boat tours will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Port of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
The tours will depart from San Pedro\u2019s Downtown Harbor, near the Los Angeles Maritime Museum, 600 S. Harbor Blvd., in San Pedro.<\/p>\n
The excursions will depart every 30 minutes and boarding is first-come, first-served. The tour line will close at 1 p.m. or when capacity is reached.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival, attendees must check in at the port\u2019s information booth, which will be under a green tent to receive assigned departure times. All ages are welcome.<\/p>\n
The 50-minute, narrated tours will offer close-up views of the nation\u2019s busiest port, featuring cargo terminals, active vessels, and notable port landmarks such as the Vincent Thomas Bridge, Battleship Iowa and Wilmington Clock Tower.<\/p>\n
A dog-friendly tour will be offered at 11:30 a.m. to accommodate well-socialized, leashed dogs; there will also\u00a0 be a 1 p.m. Spanish-narration tour.<\/p>\n
Wheelchair-accessible boarding is available, along with free and paid parking options located near Downtown Harbor.<\/p>\n
Visitors are also encouraged to explore nearby attractions, including the newly opened Starbucks at West Harbor on the L.A. Waterfront. Harbor boat tours also depart from San Pedro year-round and are available for purchase from Harbor Breeze Cruises.<\/p>\n
