{"id":461019,"date":"2026-09-11T23:16:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T23:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/461019\/"},"modified":"2026-09-11T23:16:49","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T23:16:49","slug":"19-year-old-fresno-woman-killed-in-suspected-dui-crash-near-shaver-lake-chp-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/461019\/","title":{"rendered":"19-year-old Fresno woman killed in suspected DUI crash near Shaver Lake, CHP says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A Fresno woman was killed Thursday night in a suspected DUI crash near Shaver Lake in Fresno County.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 7:15 p.m. on Highway 168, west of Littlefield Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to CHP spokesperson Mike Salas, a 32-year-old Fresno man was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe west on 168 when he allowed the vehicle to leave the roadway, which traveled down an embankment and overturned several times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A 19-year-old woman seated in the rear of the Tahoe was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">An 18-year-old Fresno man, seated in the front passenger seat of the Tahoe, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
