FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — For a third day in a row, travel plans are being disrupted across the U.S.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the FlightAware website reported that more than 2,200 flights were canceled and more than 7,500 were delayed.<\/p>\n
Travelers at Fresno Yosemite Airport say they didn’t experience delays or cancellations.<\/p>\n
But the flight interference still has Fresno travel agents concerned.<\/p>\n
Cathyrn Doty, a Not Your Evil Stepmother’s Vacation Planner, says “That is one of the first things that I do every morning is, I am monitoring the cancellations because I do have clients that are traveling and flying so I wanna make sure what does today look like, do I need to start being on the phone, making changes, being prepared for them?”<\/p>\n
As millions of Americans are expected to take to the skies for the Thanksgiving holiday, AAA says it’s monitoring traveler expectations.<\/p>\n
“We’re predicting Tuesday and Wednesday and then the following Sunday of Thanksgiving week are going to be the peak travel times,” says AAA spokesman Doug Johnson.<\/p>\n
Travel experts say that as the government shutdown continues, it’s going to be important to roll with delays and cancellations.<\/p>\n
It could also be helpful to be flexible with sudden flight changes.<\/p>\n
