{"id":461825,"date":"2026-09-12T17:38:29","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T17:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/461825\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T17:38:29","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T17:38:29","slug":"stabbing-near-park-in-los-angeles-leaves-man-dead-police-search-for-suspect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/461825\/","title":{"rendered":"Stabbing near park in Los Angeles leaves man dead, police search for suspect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police in South Los Angeles are searching for a suspect connected with a deadly stabbing near a park in on Friday night. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Bureau, it was around 8:31 p.m. when a call for service came out near the 10200 block of Success Avenue. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The location provided by police is adjacent to Ted Watkins Memorial Park at the corner of Success and 103rd Street, south of Century Boulevard and on the border between the Watts and Florence-Graham neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the LAPD, officers arrived at the scene and found the yet-to-be-identified victim suffering from a stab wound. A motive, including whether the incident was gang-related, was also not immediately known.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Video from the scene shows first responders had blocked off the area in the aftermath of the fatal stabbing.
