{"id":462011,"date":"2026-09-12T22:52:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-12T22:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/462011\/"},"modified":"2026-09-12T22:52:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-12T22:52:14","slug":"deputies-called-to-property-of-kamala-harris-and-doug-emhoff-nbc-los-angeles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/462011\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputies called to property of Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff \u2013 NBC Los Angeles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Security team members stopped a person Friday night who illegally entered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/tag\/malibu\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Malibu<\/a> property of former Vice President Kamala Harris and husband Doug Emhoff, a spokesperson for Harris said.<\/p>\n<p>The former U.S. Senator and her husband were not at the residence at the time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Last night, security personnel stopped an individual who illegally entered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff&#8217;s property before the individual reached the home,&#8221; said spokesperson Eduardo Negr\u00f3n. &#8220;Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement told NBC4 Investigates that authorities responded to a call at about 10:30 p.m. When they arrived at the residence, they spoke with a woman who complied after she was asked to leave the property.<\/p>\n<p>No arrests were reported. Details about the woman&#8217;s identity and why she was on the property were not immediately available.<\/p>\n<p>Harris and Emhoff own a home in the Point Dume area of Malibu and in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbclosangeles.com\/news\/local\/2-arrested-for-curfew-violations-near-brentwood-home-of-vice-president-harris\/3602269\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Los Angeles&#8217; Brentwood<\/a> neighborhood.
