The City of Sacramento is accepting applications for approximately $80,000 in grants to support community-led projects along Stockton Boulevard that align with the priorities outlined in the Stockton Blvd Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is the third and final funding round for the Stockton Blvd Plan Action Grant program<\/a>. Applicants may request between $5,000 and $20,000 for projects that benefit people and businesses within the plan\u2019s study area.<\/p>\n

The program is managed by the City\u2019s Neighborhood Development Action Team (NDAT) in partnership with the Office of Arts and Culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe grant program gives community members, organizations and businesses an opportunity to turn ideas for Stockton Boulevard into projects that benefit the area,\u201d said Mikel Davila, a senior project manager with the City\u2019s Economic Development Department. \u201cThis final round will continue supporting work that reflects the priorities identified by the community.\u201d<\/p>\n

About $40,000 is earmarked for projects connected to Creative Edge: Sacramento\u2019s Arts, Culture and Creative Economy Plan<\/a>. Proposals seeking that funding must include eligible arts or cultural activities and identify the Creative Edge goals they would advance.<\/p>\n

All proposed projects must align with at least one of the six priority areas identified in the Stockton Blvd Plan:<\/p>\n

Land use
\nHousing
\nCulture, arts and community character
\nInclusive economic development
\nEnvironment, public health and safety
\nCommunity engagement and capacity building<\/p>\n

Projects must include a clear timeline and budget, benefit the Stockton Boulevard study area and be completed within 12 months.<\/p>\n

Before submitting an application, applicants must meet with a project manager<\/a>. Applicants are highly encouraged to review Addendum No. 1<\/a> and the current grant materials for updates that apply to the final round.<\/p>\n

A recorded informational webinar explaining eligibility, funding requirements and how to use the application portal is available in English<\/a>, Cantonese<\/a>, Spanish<\/a> and Vietnamese<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Oct. 2.<\/p>\n
