{"id":462089,"date":"2026-09-13T00:50:25","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T00:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/462089\/"},"modified":"2026-09-13T00:50:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T00:50:25","slug":"one-of-two-victims-from-san-diego-plane-crash-idd-newsradio-600-kogo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/462089\/","title":{"rendered":"One Of Two Victims From San Diego Plane Crash ID&#8217;d | Newsradio 600 KOGO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities have  publicly identified one of two people who died in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs8.com\/article\/news\/local\/2-dead-following-plane-crash-at-montgomery-gibbs-airport\/509-690eba1d-c797-4253-a4ce-74fee861f301\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">fiery Labor Day plane crash at Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Roger Shimizu, 45, was aboard a Cessna 172 that went down at the Serra Mesa general-aviation airport shortly before 5:30 p.m. Monday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Shimizu, whose community of residence was not released, died at the scene of the accident along with the other occupant of the aircraft.
