Eight of Anaheim\u2019s nine 2026 NHL Draft selections appeared in the contest.<\/p>\n<p>The Ducks were led by the coaching staff of the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim\u2019s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League: Head Coach\u00a0Dave\u00a0Manson, Assistant\u00a0Coaches Kelly Buchberger\u00a0and\u00a0SteveMcCarthy, Goaltending Coach\u00a0Jeff\u00a0Glass\u00a0and Video Coordinator\u00a0Lucas\u00a0Hurtt.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz\u00a0Lucius\u00a0opened the scoring for Anaheim at 8:03 of the first period.<\/p>\n<p>Mathis Preston\u00a0and\u00a0Lucas Pettersson\u00a0recorded assists on the Lucius goal.<\/p>\n<p>Noah\u00a0Kosick\u00a0scored his first goal of the tournament (unassisted) at 5:45 of the second period.<\/p>\n<p>Nordmark, Preston,\u00a0Noah Read\u00a0and\u00a0Herman\u00a0Traff\u00a0co-led Anaheim with three shots apiece.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Damian\u00a0Clara\u00a0started the game for the Ducks, stopping 24 shots in his tournament debut.<\/p>\n<p>Anaheim will wrap up their 2026 Rookie Faceoff schedule vs. the Los Angeles Kings tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 13 (3 p.m.).
