The Port of Los Angeles announced Thursday it will offer free harbor boat tours Sept. 26, with departures every 30 minutes from San Pedro\u2019s Downtown Harbor.<\/p>\n
The 50-minute narrated tours will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the Los Angeles Maritime Museum, 600 S. Harbor Blvd., according to port officials.<\/p>\n
Boarding will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with the tour line closing at 1 p.m. or when capacity is reached. Visitors must check in at the Port of Los Angeles information booth under a green tent to receive an assigned departure time.<\/p>\n
The tours will offer views of cargo terminals, vessels and port landmarks including the Vincent Thomas Bridge, Battleship Iowa and Wilmington Clock Tower.<\/p>\n
A dog-friendly tour for well-socialized, leashed dogs will depart at 11:30 a.m., and a Spanish-language narrated tour will depart at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n
The tours are open to all ages, and wheelchair-accessible boarding will be available. Free and paid parking options are available near Downtown Harbor.<\/p>\n
