Determined, at 17 he joined the Navy and served aboard the USS Princeton. Afterward, he attended UCLA, where he became president of his fraternity (ATO) and lived abroad in Brazil and Mexico. Later, he had a proud career as a deputy city and district attorney in San Diego.

A lifelong seaman, he went from being a Sea Scout to sharing the gift of sailing with his sons. In retirement, he was a docent on the USS Midway, offering salty tales in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

He took his greatest pride in being a father and grandfather. His kindness, love, and unconditional support extended to the rest of his family and each one of his many friends. His presence was a constant joy.

Elliott is survived by his three sons, Elliott III (Jeannie), Tyler (Carolyn), and Spencer; and his five grandchildren, Jake, Skylar, Nicholas, Cooper, and Parker.

Elliott lived a full, satisfying life, leaving behind a treasure trove of rich stories. When he peacefully set sail on his new beginning, he was accompanied by his loved ones and his favorite music.
