A man is in critical condition after being shot following an argument that began at a Sacramento Sam\u2019s Club, deputies said. <\/p>\n

SACRAMENTO, Calif \u2014 One person was critically injured in what law enforcement calls a “car-to-car shooting” after an argument that started between two parties at a Sacramento<\/a> Sam\u2019s Club, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened just after 6 p.m. Wednesday in the roadway of the 7900 block of East Stockton Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Responding deputies found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. Deputies applied a tourniquet and chest seal to the victim\u2019s injuries at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said four people were in the vehicle, including two adults and two children. The adult man was the only person hit by gunfire.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said the suspect vehicle\u2019s male driver fired several rounds into the victim\u2019s vehicle. Investigators said a bullet also struck a car seat where a baby was sitting. The baby was unharmed, according to the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office said the bullet missed the baby by inches.<\/p>\n

Deputies said the argument started at the Sam\u2019s Club near Power Inn and Calvine roads. Both parties then traveled to East Stockton Boulevard, where the shooting occurred.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not determined what the original argument was about.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office urged people involved in an altercation to leave the situation, drive away and contact law enforcement rather than engage with someone.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office did not release a suspect description or information about the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
