The Fresno Bee high school football Top 25 rankings have a different look this week after Clovis West suffered its second consecutive loss \u2014 and this one was particularly lopsided.<\/p>\n
The Golden Eagles were blown out 46-14 by Bakersfield on the road, prompting a seven-spot drop in the rankings.<\/p>\n
Clovis West fell from No. 9 to No. 16 after allowing Bakersfield to pull away in a game that was never close enough in the second half.<\/p>\n
The loss came one week after Clovis West fell to Bakersfield Christian, leaving the Golden Eagles at 2-2 after opening the season ranked among the top teams in the Central Section.<\/p>\n
Bakersfield, meanwhile, moved from No. 13 to No. 12 after its impressive victory. The Drillers couldn\u2019t jump other teams before them since they won as well.<\/p>\n
The top five remained unchanged, with Central East holding the No. 1 spot after another dominant performance.<\/p>\n
The Bengals improved to 3-0 with a 56-7 victory over Turlock and will face Liberty-Bakersfield on Thursday.<\/p>\n
There was plenty of movement behind the top five. Hanford, Kingsburg, Shafter, Bakersfield, Tulare Western, Independence and San Luis Obispo all moved up, while Liberty-Bakersfield dropped five spots after a 49-7 loss to Buchanan.<\/p>\n
Bullard dropped two spots to No. 25 after a 21-17 loss to No. 18 Arroyo Grande.<\/p>\n
Sanger remained in the rankings after a 42-20 victory over Clovis East.<\/p>\n
