(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 A woman suffered severe injuries after an unidentified pickup truck struck her on Niles Street and drove away from the scene late Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>The California Highway Patrol said on Friday, September 11, 2026, at around 11:40 p.m., officers were called to the area of 6465 Niles Street.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said a preliminary investigation found that an early or late-model 1990s pickup truck struck a 46-year-old woman.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said after the crash, the unknown driver of the unidentified pickup truck drove away from the scene before officers arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The woman was taken to Kern Medical with severe injuries.<\/p>\n<p>CHP said as of Monday morning, there are no new updates on the status of the driver.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
