Galaxy Theatres, which has locations across five states, is expanding its operations in the Central Valley, where the company got its start.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Driving the news: Maya Cinemas shut its doors at Campus Pointe last Friday after showing movies at that location for over a decade.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Maya Cinemas\u2019 location in Salinas also shut down.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The company did not say why it is closing, simply announcing on its website that it has been a privilege to serve its customers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
What we\u2019re watching: Campus Pointe announced that Galaxy Theatres plans to transition the theater with minimal disruption to daily operations but did not say when the new theater would open.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Galaxy Theatres will upgrade and enhance the theater to bring it in line with its other theaters.\u00a0<\/p>\n
