(KFSN) &#8212; A former Fresno County mail carrier is in custody after prosecutors say he failed to deliver mail and kept it to himself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The Department of Justice says 53-year-old Ronald Juckno worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was arrested on September 11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Prosecutors say Juckno was found to have over 8,500 pieces of mail he never delivered and instead kept for himself in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Some of the mail included bills and documents from the California EDD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Juckno was initially placed on leave and later resigned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">If convicted, Juckno faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
