{"id":464122,"date":"2026-09-15T04:48:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T04:48:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/464122\/"},"modified":"2026-09-15T04:48:13","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T04:48:13","slug":"usc-center-for-the-political-future-holds-event-for-national-voter-registration-day-annenberg-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/464122\/","title":{"rendered":"USC Center for the Political Future holds event for National Voter Registration Day \u2013 Annenberg Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The USC Center for the Political Future is celebrating <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.usc.edu\/event\/national-voter-registration-day-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">National Voter Registration Day<\/a> on Trousdale Parkway and Founders Park on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizations including the USC Undergraduate Student Government and the USC Political Student Assembly will offer support to students.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cPeople sometimes always think that, you know, \u2018my vote won\u2019t matter,\u2019\u201d said Kayden Williams, a sophomore studying political science and serving as assistant director of the USC Political Science Assembly. \u201cYour vote can change so much, and it is so much. I think it\u2019s so important that\u2026young students\u2019 [voices are] being heard because we are the next generation. We are the people that will be in power soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Nov. 3 general election will be the first since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.ca.gov\/elections\/california-redistricting\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">California\u2019s new congressional district map<\/a>, approved by voters through Proposition 50 in 2025.
