RJB Restaurant Group, owned by Russ Bendel Jr. and partners, is\u00a0opening a new restaurant called Creekside in Mission Viejo this October, marking the group\u2019s eighth business in Orange County.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new concept will\u00a0serve\u00a0\u201cevery day American fare\u201d comfort food\u00a0at the Sendero Marketplace in Mission Viejo, opening\u00a0at 4 p.m. daily.\u00a0The name Creekside was inspired by the San Juan Creek that runs directly behind the restaurant, according to Bendel.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBetween our new spot and Bloom in San Juan Capistrano, it will be fun to have two great restaurants as bookends of the historic Ortega Highway in OC,\u201d Bendel said in a statement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
He and his partners, which include Executive Chef Jared Cook,\u00a0Beverage Director Gabe Whorley and Operations Vice President Kyle Simpson, also own and operate\u00a0Vine\u00a0and Parlor Pizzeria in San Clemente,\u00a0Bloom in San Juan Capistrano, Sapphire and The Pantry\u00a0in Laguna Beach, Ironwood in\u00a0Laguna Hills and Olea in\u00a0Newport Beach.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
