SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – The Cal State Bakersfield women’s golf team finished sixth at the Wolverine Invitational Tuesday at TalonsCove Golf Club behind a record-setting final round.<\/p>\n
The Roadrunners finished with a three-round team score of 894 (+30), carding rounds of 305 (+17), 304 (+16) and 285 (-3) in the 10-team tournament. CSUB’s final-round 285 tied the program’s team single-round scoring record.<\/p>\n
Freshman Melay Dittrich<\/a> led the `Runners, tying for seventh individually at 1-over 217. Dittrich recorded rounds of 75 (+3), 76 (+4) and 66 (-6), with her final-round 66 tying CSUB’s single-round record.<\/p>\n Rena Kaneko<\/a> tied for 26th at 9-over 225 after rounds of 74 (+2), 77 (+5) and 74 (+2).<\/p>\n Sahya Kitabatake<\/a> tied for 34th at 11-over 227, carding rounds of 80 (+8), 76 (+4) and 71 (-1).<\/p>\n Ashlee Kresha<\/a> tied for 40th at 13-over 229 after rounds of 80 (+8), 75 (+3) and 74 (+2), while Fiona Clancy<\/a> tied for 43rd at 14-over 230 with rounds of 76 (+4), 77 (+5) and 77 (+5).<\/p>\n The Wolverine Invitational featured 54 holes over two days at the par-72, 6,270-yard TalonsCove Golf Club.<\/p>\n The `Runners will return to action Sept. 21-22 at the Kalispel Invitational in Spokane, Washington, at Kalispel Country Club.<\/p>\n Final Team Result<\/p>\n CSU Bakersfield \u2013 894 (+30), 6th of 10<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
