A car-to-car shooting that left a driver critically wounded apparently arose from a dispute outside a Sam\u2019s Club, the Sacramento County sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n
The target of the shooting, which took place about 6 p.m. Wednesday, was a vehicle carrying two adults and two children. The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds; a baby\u2019s car seat was also struck, but none of the passengers was injured.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined that the driver had been involved in an argument minutes earlier at a Sam\u2019s Club store in Florin, at Sacramento\u2019s southeast edge. One of the disputants apparently drove after the other, and the shooting happened about a mile away, the sheriff\u2019s report said.<\/p>\n
The shooter fled, and no arrest was announced Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

\u2014 On Tuesday afternoon, a 38-year-old woman was fatally shot outside a Panera by a man who the sheriff\u2019s office said had been stalking and harassing her. Pursued by sheriff\u2019s deputies, the suspected attacker pulled over on Highway 50; he was found dead of what was believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
\u2014 Late Monday, a driver was fatally shot by one or more law enforcement officers after a pursuit ended on Highway 50 in the Lake Natoma area.
