(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 At least one person is dead after a truck struck a tree and caught on fire on Highway 99 Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The CHP\u2019s website said on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at around 12:03 p.m., there was a report of a truck hitting a tree and catching fire on southbound Highway 99 near Taft Highway.<\/p>\n<p>The website said the truck was fully involved in the fire.<\/p>\n<p>The website also said the coroner\u2019s office was called.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"At least one person is dead after a truck struck a tree and caught on fire on Highway 99 Wednesday afternoon.
